The Daily Friday podcast covers all the news you’d ever want to share in a group chat with your buddies in a funny and light-hearted way. Hosted by LA-based comedian Jack Lawler who breaks down all the news from the week every Friday: insane headlines, wild takes, absurd viral trends, and featuring guests ranging from subject matter experts to comedians, it’s a mix of pop culture, sports, real world news, and internet brain rot. Lawler is the founder of @WorkRetireDie, an online comedy brand he created in 2018 out of his frustrations and disillusionment with Corporate America. Daily satirical videos and memes take on white-collar working life, and help an audience of 300k+ followers make it through their day. 

 

Lawler is an alum of Upright Citizen’s Brigade who performed in NYC for 7+ years with his sketch comedy group (including a monthly variety show at Caveat). He taps into this background when recording the podcast and bouncing off of guests.

 

He has also penned the successful Daily Friday Newsletter, home to over 170k+ loyal subscribers willing to die for news delivered to their inbox (probably), for just over two years.
