ABOUT PERSISTICON:
PERSISTICON is a Brooklyn-based volunteer venture and social enterprise founded to help elect progressive women to change all the things. Powered by comedy, art, and community, our sold-out fundraising events support high-impact organizations such as EMILY's List. It is is the passion project of Diana Kane English, Lynn Harris, Leslie King, and Theo Kogan. It is here to take action, build community, make impact, and have fun. Building on the success of PERSISTICON I & II, PERSISTICON III will support EMILY’s List and thus help elect feminists. The past events raised nearly $40K and instantly created an activist community on fire or more. On creating the project, Kane English says, “People keep asking me what they can do, where to put their energy. I’ve told them to take the things that give them life, the things they’re good at and enjoy, and employ them in the causes that speak to them. Persisticon is me taking my own advice.”
