Hosts Daniel Van Kirk* (Bob’s Burgers, Dumb People Town) and Mel Stephens have built quite the recurring show out of bspoke/LA, inviting comedians and personalities both famous and emerging to create comedy from audience submitted secrets and embarrassing life experiences. There’s No Such Thing As Too Much Information. The next show, December 4 at 7:30pm, will feature Ify Nwadiwe (Key and Peele, CBB), Sammy Weisner (Sausage Party TV), Amy Miller (Comedy Central) and Steve Furey (Dating No#Filter, Don’t Tell Comedy).

Hosted by Daniel Van Kirk and Mel Stephens, this show combines sets from some of the best comics in LA with audience-submitted embarrassing moments. Each show, comics begin their time by revealing an “Overshare” from someone in the room and create comedy on the spot before going into their material.

So why Overshare Comedy? Daniel and Mel were looking to mount a monthly comedy show in LA for a long time when the stars aligned and Michael Dutcher opened bspoke/LA with the intent to be one of the premiere event spaces in the city. The magic of Overshare Comedy comes from the audience as well as the comedians oversharing embarrassing and/or cringeworthy moments from their life which leads to spontaneous and organic comedy that can only be experienced by being at bspoke/LA for the show!

Says Mel Stephens, “Our hope is that Overshare Comedy becomes a show that comics flock to and that audience members line up for. After covid and multiple strikes, we want to create a live show experience that becomes a Los Angeles nightlife staple.”

The next show is December 4 at 7:30pm at bspoke/LA. Tickets are on sale now.
