OWN Podcasts announces today's launch of the second season of Ashley Blaine Featherson-Jenkins’ podcast series, Trials to Triumphs, which will kick off with the first episode recorded from New Orleans during Essence Fest with singer Ari Lennox to be available starting August 14 wherever you listen to podcasts. During the revealing and honest conversation, Lennox addresses the controversy and her recent apology from remarks she made on social media in 2021.

Throughout the new season, guests will include friends and colleagues, as well as people Ashley admires to dig into the moments when their trials have led to triumphs, in the hopes that we realize that we have much more common ground and shared experiences than we realize. Season 2 will continue to be a true coming together of women as they share wisdom for people to carry with them for the rest of their lives, and to create a safe space for guests and listeners to feel seen, motivated, and be encouraged to pursue the lives we all imagine for ourselves.

Said Featherson-Jenkins, “At times, life for me has been made sweeter and I’ve found the strength to go on through the stories and major life-changing moments that have been shared with me by people I love and admire. I have always felt that empathy & education are two of life’s best teachers.”

Season one brought deep dives with guests including Kelly Rowland, Robin Thede, Michelle Williams, Amber Riley, Danielle Brooks, Estelle, Niecy Nash and Sheryl Lee Ralph.

Through the stories of Ashley’s guests, Trials To Triumphs will bring us to laugh, cry, ponder, and discover gems about ourselves that hopefully allow listeners to have a greater understanding of who they are and to clarify their own unique journey. This is the podcast everyone needs, deserves, and craves. Especially now.

A force of talent on screen, Ashley brings that same level of passion and energy to her off-screen messages of empowerment, hard work, self-discovery and acceptance. Though she notes that positivity does not come easily, especially as a Black actress, her energy is infectious and is felt in every interaction with her. Featherson-Jenkins again stood out in her starring role in the MACRO produced series, LEIMERT PARK, which took her to Sundance. On the big screen, Featherson-Jenkins also starred in Amber Tamblyn’s directorial debut, PAINT IT BLACK; and on the small screen in the 2016 ABC pilot, DREW and she guest starred in Fox’s GLEE.
